Posted by zeaz in : 分享 , trackback 这是一首非常出名的澳洲民歌，当我第一次看到这首歌的歌名时，我怎么也猜不出它的含义，咋看象是一个人的名字。实际上这是一个由德国移民带来的词汇。Waltzing出自德语的一个词组deerwaltz ，意思是说当时乡村的学徒工随着他的师傅，在乡下四处周游，随遇而居。而Matilda 是日耳曼语，指战争随军妇。据说原来指欧洲三十年战争期间随军的妇女，所以该词延伸为晚上取暖的意思，后来进一步延伸指军衣和军毯。因为军队在行军的时候，战士把铺盖卷扛在肩上，所以，这里的Waltzing Matilda则是指扛着铺盖卷到处找工作的打工仔。歌不长，但要外国人看明白却不容易，因为歌词里充满了澳洲特有 的词汇。
